Nia's Critique of Starry Night
- I like this picture because of the contrasting colors. The designs are interesting and new. The painting as a whole is pretty neat.
- I think that the bright yellow and dark blue compliment each other very nicely.
- From observing this illustration, I can assume that Vincent Van Gogh was using the illusion of day and night.
- I like the background. I like that the focus is very general instead of on the houses. The harmony is great.
- The texture of the painting is very unique.
- The shape of the tree is made up of lines.
- The size of the houses wasn't very proportional, in my opinion.
- The mass of the tree was very large, and the object came across as eye catching.
- The colors in the painting came across as very abstract.
- Overall, I was very impressed with the unity of the illustration.
